Our First Project
Our first project took place in Mbalmayo, Cameroon. With the help of local residents and even inmates from a nearby detention center, we built a water tank, an outhouse, and a schoolhouse. This initiative not only addressed plastic pollution but also created employment and improved vital infrastructure in the area.
Expanding the Impact
Following the success in Mbalmayo, Bottles2Bricks expanded north to Yagoua, Cameroon. This project aimed to build two classrooms and an outhouse to replace makeshift outdoor classrooms that were unusable during rainy seasons. The goal: improve access to consistent education for local children in challenging environments.
Global Recognition
The innovation and social impact of Bottles2Bricks have attracted international attention, including a feature by German broadcaster Deutsche Welle. Our story continues to inspire others to see waste not as trash, but as a building block for change.
